I used to vehemently oppose the idea that we need men to come to our defense in ANYTHING, especially feminist issues. It was offensive to me that a message coming from a man instead of a woman would be more influential. It would mean we hadnt won any battles at all. Lately I disagree with my younger self. Violence against women and threats of violence against us, and hate trolling and rape threats and clever little gender slurs and victim blaming and that cute little rape culture thing? Those things are HUMAN problems, not female problems. So I welcome my fellow humans of all genders to find a part to play here. Andy Khouri says well what good people who arent women can do to help.
