I usually dont write long posts here. But, I (this time) would like to expound on my favorite fictional character. No, hes not Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. Nor is he Governor Willie Stark of All the Kings Men by Robert Penn Warren. And, no, hes not Nikolai Rostov of War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. Believe it not, my favorite fictional character is (none other than) Alfred E. Neuman of Mad Magazine. Distinguished by jug ears, a missing front tooth, and one eye lower than the other, he smiles as if he has no worries at all (thus the quote What me worry)? Although appearing naive, make no mistake. He is everything BUT naive. He knows exactly what goes on in the world. However, he is in control of what he knows he can chagne and accepts those things he cant. He also is wise enough to know the difference. He, therefore, does not let anything get to him. He is the example of cool heads prevailing.
