I voted no on bear issue. My guess is most/many most people who vote yes eat meat from animals that were fed and then killed at point blank (very unsporting and inhumane). My guess is most who vote yes have not ever come across a pile of donuts/junk food in the woods. My guess is most who vote yes think the traps/snares are the old variety that were like steel toothed jaws. My guess is most who vote yes do not know how many lives and jobs and incomes will be affected. My guess is most who vote yes believe shooting an elusive running bear in the woods of Maine will attract just as many hunters to our state than the current method does. My guess is that most who vote yes think hunters are heartless and do not care about life. ( I wonder how many grocery store or drive thru Mcdonalds meat eaters give a single thought about the animal they are eating) My guess is most who vote yes think bear hunters dont eat the meat, and are all trophy hunters.
