The motion instructs the Committee on Energy and Commerce to amend the bill to require the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to submit monthly reports on the number of people who have received benefits from Obamacare. Im sure HHS doesnt need any persuading to provide this information. The problem the underlying bill seeks to address is the opposite: the refusal of HHS to disclose accurate information that may reflect negatively on Obamacares implementation. Regardless, this is a partisan procedural motion, not an actual amendment. The motion failed 186-226.
