I voted yes on the Blumenauer of OR Part A Amendment 24 to #HR4435, which requires the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to provide an annual report on the projected costs of the United Statess nuclear forces. Last years National Defense Authorization Act required a one-time report from the CBO on this topic, which was released in December 2013. According to the CBOs estimates, the executive branchs annual reports have underestimated the costs by $150 billion over the decade. Congress needs accurate information to do its job, and the CBO has proven itself more capable of estimating these costs than the agencies currently involved. The amendment was agreed to 224-199.
