I voted yes on the motion to suspend the rules and pass #HR2860, OPM IG Act, which allows the Inspector General (IG) of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to use .33 percent of OPMs revolving fund to pay for increased oversight of the fund. The revolving fund is used to finance reimbursable services that OPM provides to other federal agencies, such as background investigations for applicants or new hires and other HR services. There have been increasing allegations of waste and abuse related to the funds programs in recent years, including falsification of background investigations, and this bill allows the IG to use a small percentage of the fund to increase audits and investigate such allegations. It passed 418-0.
