I walk by this house almost every day on my way to work or to the bank or the store... its a 3 bedroom house with the jankiest home made for sale sign in the front yard. Magic marker bleeding down the sign and sun faded. The house is an ugly institutional green color and has crap all over it. Jewelry display cases on the front porch, straight Sanford and Son. The house itself is pretty ugly in its current state, but something about it always attracts my eye. I can see what to do: knock out the lattice on the front porch and expose that nice big window it is hiding, break up the cinder block porch railings and replace it with a nice elegant wood one, etc. Ive daydreamed about this house for several months. The sign says zoning allows the construction of two more units in the rear. Can you say rental income? Oh man have I lived this fantasy, but knowing I have no money or collateral I never bothered calling. Today I saw a man cleaning stuff out of the house and I ask him Do you know what the asking price is? He replied its in escrow. Sigh, one more unattainable fantasy slips through my fingertips. Hahaha.
