I want to give a shout-out to one of our teachers and my friend, Julie Stoner Eshleman. This last year our district made quite a few tough decisions in order to cut expenses. That meant that some of the slack had to be picked up elsewhere. Julie was given quite a few additional responsibilities and had to make a big change by taking over parts of our Physical Education curriculum at the middle school. With any change, there was some concern, but she has grabbed the bull by the horns and seems excited to take on the new task. The best part is that she is coming up with so many ideas and things that she can do in her classes to better educate our students. She has already run many things by me, and I thought it was awesome to get some text messages today about all the cool things she has planned to do in her classroom. Sometimes our teachers and staff do not get enough credit for the positive things that they are doing, so I wanted to take a second to thank Julie for her dedication and excitement. Its hard to take a perceived negative change, and turn it into something positive. I greatly appreciate it!
