I want to say happy anniversary to my friend and partner in crime, Jeff Byrd! We have gone through so much in the last 6 years. Two weeks into the marriage, we faced a lay-off, then I was out of work. We were down to one vehicle because I was hit 4 days before the wedding and my car was totaled and we needed to buy another one. Thankfully we found a very dependable one for the amount of money the insurance provided. We were rushed out of our apartment and into an unfinished house. We had a baby on the way and I had to drop out of nursing because of complications. Jeff got a great job and things were looking better then he was moved to Indians then laid off. I couldnt work and Jeff only drew $94 per week in unemployment. But things got better. We got a better place to live, Jeff got a better job and things were going great. I was working at a job with a potential future and we were expecting our second child. Then the wreck happened and destroyed us. Suddenly we were dealing with a premie and I was injured. On top of that, our oldest started having seizures. Now were are facing all kinds of things. We are still together. We still love each other and we want to face this stuff together. We need each other and we are happy in the eye of the storm. This is what marriage is. At our wedding, my Uncle Greg said,Marriage is not a warm, fuzzy feeling. Its a commitment. No more accurate word were ever spoken. I love my husband and I dont want anyone but him... Ever! Sometime we want to kill each other but I wouldnt want things any other way.
