I want to share this story, as Im sure it will be of some meaning to at least one person out there. Today was beyond an unusual day of those just odd emails, messages, request. Those days where you are just so exhausted that it is simple to misinterpret a message or not give the appropriate consideration to a request. It was just that kind of day where you find yourself in a bad mood for no real reason. That was until tonight... when a parent at our gym comes in tonight with her walker. The same parent who was on a ventilator just days ago, the same parent who was not suppose to make it, the parent that we were all praying for. And when someone asked... Kathleen Podgorniak McMahon... why are you here? She simply answered I want to see my daughter. But I want to add on to why Kathleen McMahon is here... because that 30 seconds of conversation allowed me to see thru my own day. I allowed my own day to be bad over silly misinterpretation and things that in the big picture, I should know better. And to hear this woman just say, I want to see my daughter, was so simple, yet so meaningful. So Thank you Kathleen... I needed that this evening and Im sure others did to. We never know what each day will bring and I was always taught to live life with no regrets and nothing left unsaid.. to never go to bed mad. So I want to reach out to Sarah Jones, and apologize for misinterpreting and reading into something that didnt need to be read into. To thank her for being a amazing mother and customer at our gym, and friend. Ive seen in life that simple apologies go much further than anything... And thank God that he allowed Kathleen to stay with us to teach us that simple lesson tonight... its the simple things in life that have so much value!
