I want to thank Susan Taylor, Essence Magazine, Jet Magazine and every super confident dark skinned woman who never played small, felt other than radiant and took pictures :) It is because of you I have always admired rich melanin and remain confused by anyones desire to want to change that about themselves. I suppose its a good thing that this film will address this issue and its negative effects but cant help but to wonder if simply glorifying characters of darker skin and placing them in heroic roles where we automatically favor them is a better way to counteract the problem....
