I want to truly thank everyone who has offered support for my decision to open up and share some of the traumatic events that occurred over the last year. Your support means the world to me. To know Im not standing alone. But Ive also received some warnings and threats over the last few days. And because some of these events unfolded in hugely public settings, I understand that others are being pressured or stifled, as well. But being bullied into silence is no longer an option for me, and I hope its not for you. That only perpetuates an environment where victims can continued to be victimized. The price of standing up for yourself is always a costly one -- but your principles only mean something if you stick by them when they are inconvenient. Ill be candid, but sensitive -- and I have no plans on vilifying anyone in the process -- despite the brutal and violent smear campaign that took such a detrimental toll on me. I want to discuss what unfolded in the context of searching for a solution that protects victims -- even when power and influence stand in the way. And finally, I want to say as clearly as possible, that Senator Bob Wieckowski and his staff always operated with the highest level of integrity and character. They were truly an inspiration, even in the toughest of times. Thanks for lending your ear. Site will be up shortly.
