I wanted to let everyone know that has not refinanced in the last few years that it is still a great time to look into it. I have taken 3 refinances in the last two weeks for clients who either couldnt refinance before or thought it might not be worth it. I had a client who is refinancing to add a $70,000 addition. 30, 20 and 15 year rates are still very low. You might be able to get your mortgage into a 15 year loan with minimal effect to your payment and take years off of your mortgage or gain more equity by the time you are ready to sell.
