I wanted to share a little something with you.... I know a lot of people who have experienced a lot of loss in the last couple of months. This time of year seems to be a time of year that for whatever reason we lose people at a higher rate. I dont know why but Im pretty young and I can think of about 10 people Ive known (some extremely well such as my mother) who passed on in Oct, Nov or Dec and I can think of more that I didnt know but somebody that I care about did. It just flat out sucks (for lack of a better word). Anyways long story short with the holidays here and the sun hiding for months people can get to feeling pretty lousy so I wanted to share something that has been helping me when Im stressed out, having anxiety, need to focus, need to sleep, need to clear my thoughts, need to stop myself from losing it or just when Im trying to get moving in the morning. This is what you do... Take a deep breath in for 5 counts.....Hold it in for 5 counts......Let it out for 5 counts......hold it out for 5 counts..... Repeat. Dont laugh at me...just try it when youre having a rough time....it really helps re-center me and it might help you too. It will also work on your kids . Its just breathing nothing special but it helps so much. If nothing else youll laugh your a** off while your doing it because your thinking about what a goof I am.
