I wanted to share how the Lord has cared for the needs of my 8yo - TopicsExpress

I wanted to share how the Lord has cared for the needs of my 8yo dds heart this month. I thought it might encourage someone. We decided in mid June to get our house on the market to see if it would sell so we could get my husband closer to work. (Hes been driving about an hour both ways for 11 months now.) We did a lot of polishing up in four weeks to get it ready, then expectantly left it in the Lords hands. Twelve days later we had a signed contract. Three days after that we had a contract on a home to buy, closing on both less than five weeks later. So in three months we will have gone from just a thought to a new home, and I have a little girl pretty anxious about it all. Even as weve been talking and praying through it with her, The Lord led me to a book on our bookshelf for history (westward expansion right now) where the main character happens to be an eight year old girl anxious about moving and learning how to be brave in her new adventure, which spurred all sorts of therapeutic conversation the night we read that. It was so clear to me that Our Shepherd knows and meets the needs of his children. We finished that book and moved on to Thomas Edisons biography (the BY book) now... and it has two chapters of *his* family packing up and moving to a new place! My daughter just said to me, Thank you for letting the Lord lead you to our new house, Mom. I know its going to be great! I love getting to show her how the Lord is providing for her heart through these books. I was looking only for history content, yet praying for wisdom on how to help her feel better. The Lord knew just how He could speak to her heart. Please dont get caught up in the speed of our house sale if you are waiting and waiting for the Lord to intervene on your behalf. We waited 3 years for our last house to sell and I asked the Lord for more time than that to intervene in another situation in which I was desperate for help! My point is that He will speak to your heart while you go through the valley. I dare say that your heart is His main concern. Just as my daughters worry matters, so does yours. Ask him to speak to your heart while you wait out your trial and then trust Him to fill it up with Him.
