I wanted to share my cycling adventures over the past four years - TopicsExpress

I wanted to share my cycling adventures over the past four years for two reasons: 1.) I get to talk about my favorite subject: ME!, and, 2.) give others some ideas for an unforgettable experience! Four years ago in 2010 my buddy Rick called me about joining him on a “supported” bike tour through Zion and Bryce canyon in Utah. Rick and I used to ride together in college, but I hadn’t been on a bike for years. I quickly determined that my old Schwinn 10-speed wouldn’t cut it, so I bought a Carbon Fiber bicycle through Bikesdirect and started my training 4 months out from the start of the tour. This tour cost $1,300. The bike tour was 550 miles and 15,000 feet of elevation climbing over 7 days. The tour company transported all of our gear, fed us breakfast/lunch/dinner, and supported us throughout the ride. We camped every night except for one in a hotel which added to the outdoor charm. I had never been to these National Parks and the scenery was spectacular! I especially liked Bryce canyon, which is in a relatively small area. The weather was perfect, and the other riders were a really pleasant group. I think this was my favorite of the four tours I’ve completed so far, and am planning on doing this one again when my son is old enough to join me. Don’t miss my exciting continuation of this incredible journey!!
