I wanted to share my latest op-ed, co-written with Rep. Janice Hahn, where we talk about the importance of quickly repairing the Hurricane Marie storm damage to the federal breakwater which protects the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The current damage could slow or close portions of the port during storms and/or lead to even further damage to the breakwater. This could impact the more than 300,000 jobs in our region which depend directly on the ports.
