I wanted to share that Indy passed away peacefully while Jerry and I were able to pet him, hold on to him, and kiss him goodbye. I know too many hes a dog, but to us he was a member of our family. And the loss is very, very difficult. We got Indy on August 30, 2003. After a lot of heartbreak trying to have a human baby - Indy was our first born so to speak. We looked at shelters, and ended up responding to an ad in the paper. Out of what seemed like 20 crazy puppies, Indy ran up to us. He was the immediate choice. He was our super furry, spunky little boy who made us smile. When Maddie was born, they became best buds. And he was amazing with her. I will miss him so much as will Maddie and Jerry. He was the most wonderful dog that touched a lot of people. He was always excited to see everyone and anyone, which is the nature of a golden, but I had the privilege of him greeting me EVERY day after work almost crying, with a stuff toy in his mouth, butt and tail wagging like I had been gone a year. He did this with everyone, but still made me feel special. It was always funny how he hated water, and would NEVER retrieve. If we threw a ball, he would chase it in his younger years, but then stand there like... you actually want me to get this for you? I have never felt my heartbreak like this before as Indy was really one of the family. He will be missed and never forgotten. Indiana Indy Waggoner: 6-18-2003 to 7-26-2014
