I wanted to write something about August 22nd, because its a special day to me. Im sure Ill be posting cute pictures of Judd and I, as well as links to the essays Ive written about us. The last few months have been interesting, filled with new kinds of intensity and us each learning what were bad at in terms of our partnership. But what to write as a blog just isnt coming to mind. Some of it is too intimate and raw for me to write about. But its ultimately good. I love the man very much, and he knows that. Everybody knows that. Because I love openly, with all my heart, and sometimes I over-share, but Id rather do that then have my feelings doubted. Maybe its too much sometimes, maybe other times I use it to compensate for the fact that Im bad at other aspects of relationship and love and I cant be everything he wants or deserves. Maybe its to make up where he lacks in certain inclinations. But Id rather live and love this way, so I do. As I always say... if it ended tomorrow, two months from now, two years from now or never... its still the best thing thats happened to me yet. He makes me a better person, he inspires incredible feelings and seemingly impossible dreams, and he has proven himself to be one hell of a partner. I know you dont consider this our anniversary, baby, but I do. That night two years ago, staying up until the sun rose, talking about music and philosophy and life... it was a perfect little date for how it ended: because when I said goodbye to you, I was already looking forward to the next time Id see you. Thats a rare feeling for me, and you sparked it. I always look forward to seeing you again, and seeing what the future brings. For you, for me, and for us.
