I was 11 yrs old .. It was Summer in Detroit (we lived in the corner house at Curtis St. & Monte Vista then...across the street from the old Jewish Community Center).. I picked up my Parents Isley Brothers Go For Your Guns album.. I sat on the thick white shag carpet in our living room, put on my Dads huge headphone set (with the O.G. coily telephone style cable), put the needle down on the vinyl, and when I heard that first glorious, singing high note from Ernies Stratocaster guitar on Voyage to Atlantis, my life changed.. Forever. Thank U my sweet GOD, for sending me the Divine Gift of Music, thru the sounds of Ernie Isleys crying Guitar.... That started everything for this Kidd. #FollowYourDream
