I was able to get out and maiden the Sherpa II yesterday. What fun this little plane is. It took a few tosses to get the CG nailed...I ended up adding roughly 1/2 ounce to the nose. Once it was balanced, it flew very well. There were a number of adjustments to be made. Most of which could not be performed in the field. For example, the full throw fell short and can only be adjusted in the shop. So, while I had a great time, I wasnt able to try some maneuvers the Sherpa was designed to do. The Sherpa II is a major redesign of the original Sherpa released (I think) in 2008. I did change the airfoil to one of my own and of course, the weight is substantially reduced. Crestline, CA AUW - 5.50 ounces Winds - 3-10 mph (Variable) CG - 1.58 from LE I cant wait to make the adjustments and get back out there. Enjoy the video.
