I was able to watch most of this during final Dress Rehearsal last night. (I have the honor of singing briefly in the backstage chorus.) It is magnificently done!! With great, experienced, talented people coming together to do it! And user/audience friendly (meaning, that the translations of Italian to English are projected above the stage, but also the acting is so good that you can understand the story and passion without glancing upward to see the details--and yet the details are there, above, as well as summarized in the program). Really two chances to see/hear a quality, interesting, MasterWork opera, in the beautiful setting of the restored Riviera Theatre, whether or not youve seen/heard one (and especially if you havent).
