I was asked how come it is so simple to establish a company in Malaysia last night by a friend from Japan. I was perplexed with this question. Then I was told that you can have the same name as another company on the registration database. I was shocked and said it is impossible to do that in Malaysia! Wow - Registrar of Companies will not allow a new company name like TOYOTA or PROTON as a name as that is a infringement of the Companies Act as is Misrepresentation I explained that it is very easy in Malaysia, like in the United Kingdom. If your company name is cleared and you have no bad record the process is very fast, like in UK. Malaysia is Pro-business - especially in favour of Enterprise and also SMEs. We should be happy that Our BN Government encourages all the RAKYAT to engage in the economy and have the easy access to business Facilities.
