I was at the convenience store this morning purchasing a large fountain Diet Coke in a styrofoam cup as is customary when a young man approached me to buy him a pack of cigarettes. I told him that I am a nurse and refused to contribute to a habit that could later cause him to have lung cancer. I also added that my husband is an officer and that I believe buying cigs for a minor is illegal. In hindsight I wish I wouldve added that I have a pink badge and have subpoena power; that wouldve shaken him up, Im sure.
