I was challenged to the Ice Bucket Challenge by Steve Nicholson - TopicsExpress

I was challenged to the Ice Bucket Challenge by Steve Nicholson from work. I challenge my righthand man at work, Louis Toby Lister; my brother, Dustin Miller; and my cousin, Stu Lowe. We have had a lot of fun at work challenging each other and helping bring awareness to ALS aka Lou Gehrigs disease. There are several people at work who have had friends or family that have dealt with ALS. I decided to do the challenge and donate as well, but I am changing it up by donating to the Wheelchairs Fund of LDS Philanthropies. In our family, we know the blessing that mobility and wheelchairs can bring into someones life. The Wheelchairs Fund last year provided wheelchairs to 57,000 people in 54 countries. One hundred percent of every dollar donated is used to help those in need without regard to race, religion, or ethnic origin. For more information visit: ldsphilanthropies.org/humanitarian-services/funds/wheelchair-distribution.html The Ice Bucket Challenge has been a fun and exciting movement and I was happy to be part of it. I was glad I was able to take this opportunity to share a cause I am passionate about. If you get challenged, donate to ALS or donate to a cause you identify with. Last note, I did it on our grass so the water wouldnt go to waste in our drought.
