I was commenting on a link below and I decided that I would update the comment as a status update as well. The comment is in relation to the recent questioning of Gerry Adams tweets, something that even Vincent Browne has been moved to call as ‘ridiculous’. They are appalling. They creep through his Twitter account like sinister snakes, interpreting every tweet to suit their own malicious and sinister agendas. Which, I think is really quite disturbing and seeks only to highlight their own mind-sets as opposed to anybody else’s. A person who chooses to engage with those he represents by the forum of social media is once again vilified for doing so. No mention is provided to the other morose public representatives who would neither have the acumen or dexterity to engage with the people they purport to represent. No, they instead act behind closed doors. Exactly, what they accuse of Gerry Adams is what they do. He writes a blog, engages with people on social media, actually attends marches such as Irish water and thousands more, and canvasses on the door. He does not preach from an ivory tower and sneak around like phantom creeps on social media. He displays none of the dismissive arrogance that these people routinely engage in. They then dismiss Shinners as “Gerry faithful’s”, without even a sense of understanding, that people like people who treat others well. Its absolute basics but it’s very apparent when somebody is a fair, open and decent person. Every single person males mistakes, some more than others, but too continue to whip a person with a self-righteous moral whipping stick, smacks of pious contempt. Gerry Adams has spoken openly about regrets, has been a central figure in moving a whole movement towards peace and actually listens to the mood of the people. Then the sanctimous Micheál Martin, who was one of the central figures in leaving Ireland and all its future generations enslaved in generations of future debt, has the sheer audacity to get up on his big moral high horse and start bleating off about SF. Former Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, says his biggest regret is that he did not leave a national stadium in his political wake. No regrets about our mass emigration, the devastation that families across Ireland have been left in, the mass loss of jobs, the psychological damage that this has caused people. No because FF smug attitude wouldnt allow them to feel this. And then they ask why, SF are currently the most popular party in the country?? The mind boggles !
