I was driving to Leesville on Thursday listening to SirusXM Love Channel 17 when this began to play. This was popular when my soldier, Joe Marler, was deployed during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. I was flooded with the memories of the hooror of the world at that time, the genecide, the violence and the conflict that became our war. God is watching us - from a distance - but also from our lives in our relationship with HIM. We are in the midst again of strife, conflict, and violence and God is watching no matter our social status, age or political leanings. The line that said We are all marching in the same band, just playing different instruments ... We are practicing our faith in different religions, fulfilling our lives in different roles, still filled with wars in so many places, and GOD -He is still watching, and in my case, not from a distance but from my heart, through my eyes and through my daily actions. Again, thank you Joe Marler for what you did to guard my freedom.
