I was employed by an angry, immature fellow a couple of years ago. He made me question my integrity more than once. He mistreated employees, and I was close to most of them. I felt compelled to take action in the face of his abuse...but I rarely stood up to him. I guess it was the fear of becoming homeless again that kept me from drawing a line in the sand. I really needed that job. Everything happens for a reason? Not sure about that one, but I do know that my experiences built me. The venue was a high end brunch restaurant, and as I sit here eating baked vegetables, blackened chicken and seasoned rice...I am not lamenting my time there. I learned how to use seasonings, how to cook meat properly, how to season rice, and I remember most of the recipes. I can cook effectively now, and I love having that skill. The experience doesnt make sense on all levels, but Dexterdog is definitely in love with my cooking, and Bethany is a fan as well...so the time was not wasted. love and peace....
