I was excited to see Renee Zellweger trending on Twitter today, because as a fan of her work, I thought she had a new film. I was extremely disappointed to see it was tons of people bashing her looks and making fun of her. It is truly disgusting to see so many people bullying someone on social media for the way they look. What a gross society we are living in, when this is normal behavior. I mean, heres the thing that is SO MIND BOGGLING. Get ready... are you sitting down?! Here it comes...sometimes, usually ALWAYS, people get older. And they look different. GASP!!! Really? Yes, even famous people like Renee Zellweger. Posting photos of her 20 years ago next to a photo of her on Monday night makes no sense. Even if she had work done, it is none of anyone elses business. I am pretty positive it is HER face, not yours. In other news, this isnt news. Cant we stop being so malicious towards each other and focus on something more positive and productive? Why does her face have to be trending on Twitter? Cyberbullying is real and needs to end. It wont end until this behavior is unacceptable. I really dont think if any of these bullies were in her shoes, they would want to wake up and see thousands of people making fun of them and comparing them to Halloween masks. As a woman working in the entertainment industry, trust me, it is difficult enough on your self esteem on a daily basis, you certainly dont need the added hate to fuel the fire. Hollywood can be so cruel to women, why jump on the bandwagon?
