I was fascinated by this documentary about 21 Americans who decided to stay in China after being POWs in the Koran War. What makes it so interesting is that it is done from a Chinese perspective. As an American I have to ask myself: Are these men traitors? Or was this a case of Stockholm Syndrome combined with brainwashing? The most interesting part to me is that 20 of the turncoats eventually recanted and returned to the US. This reminded me of the American television drama Homeland based on a similar story about a POW who really did become a traitor.
