I was feeling somewhat ungrateful today and then I got on Facebook and saw a few videos and some pictures of some of the tornado damage back home. And suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks. I very easily could have lost so many loved ones in that storm. My moms best friends since junior high, my Aunt Debbie and her husband David only narrowly escaped and lost their home. She is like a second mother to me. She has know me from the minute I was born. My sister Kate and my niece Julie were at the mall less than a mile from my aunts house. They ran from the storm and went to my brothers house just a few minutes away. My own Best friends parents, again like my own family, were driving right past that area and had to take emergency shelter in the hospitals basement. And had there been more tornados or they had taken a different path in any direction it could have hit any number of other family members or dear friends. So I am going to get out of this funk I am in and start living more! And I am so grateful for the all of my family and friends and that they are all safe!
