I was getting some meat from the halaal store and as I was exiting - TopicsExpress

I was getting some meat from the halaal store and as I was exiting I saw an old man sleeping by the door on bags of rice. I politely asked him if he was ok and he said he was tired. I asked if he lived around the store and he said yes. I said can I take you home. He said yes. I asked his name. He said Larry. Larry is 92 years old and has no family here to take care of him. All his family lives far away. As Muslims it is our responsibility to take care of orphans, captives, poor, children, elderly, and our parents. Being a Muslim is a blessing and teaches us the rights of others. Unfortunately some Muslims are neglecting their duty and treat their parents, children, and others badly. May Allah (swt) give us pious children that will take care of us when we get old and feeble. May Allah forgive our faults and increase the mercy and compassion of our hearts.
