I was given a dream last night/early this morning that I would - TopicsExpress

I was given a dream last night/early this morning that I would like to share. I found myself standing before a beautiful building, the stain glass windows seemed to echo the feeling that this building was holy and pristine. It was obviously a church as I began to enter within its great hall. Upon entering, I suddenly realized that what was on the outside was not what was on the inside - for the house of worship had been turned into nothing more than a business. I tried to search for the sanctuary but I kept going in circles, no matter how hard I tried, I could not find the sanctuary. I became confused and walked back outside, then I saw it - a sign. Upon the top of the building, near the steeple, sat a globe of the earth, it was solid gold. There were words, bold itself, written over the golden image which stated, WE LOVE THIS WORLD. It was not a declaration of compassion for the lost, but it was a boasting of where this church had fallen into - it was worldly, it had become corrupted by its wealth and stature, but within it was nothing of God, but the things of this world. As the dream ended I found myself walking away from the mammoth religious monument and it seemed a dark shadow came out from it and attempted to follow me, but its reach could not grasp me. The church must reclaim her standing with Christ and return back to the cross, end its love for the things of this world and begin to live holy, righteous before the Lord. For the word says in 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. There must be a complete separation between the Christian and those within the world. We are a peculiar people (Deuteronomy 14:2), when the world sees us they must see something different than what they already have, they need to see Christ. But that separation will come at a price, for Christ calls all of us to walk differently than those who are in darkness. The church is caught up in materialism, worldliness and self unlike any other time in the church age. Unless we come back to the cross, we will end up like the church I saw within the dream - decorated with gold and precious rubies, but worthless inside. Come out from among them and be separate!
