I was holding back... but the posts about canceling school are so very redundant to me. Although I am considerate of people that are not from here, that do not yet understand the way it works. Yes, it is unbearably cold, but if your car starts and you can get kids to school, to stay inside, why not? When it 70 degrees outside I would rather be at home or enjoying the outdoors on a scheduled day off rather than making up a snow day. We are legally contracted to a specific number of contact days in the classroom. Theres no way around it. Id rather be stuck at school on a freezing cold day than stuck at school on a wonderfully beautiful day... Period
