I was hoping to have a positive update on our ET. He is losing weight rapidly and sleeping a lot. The vet says this isnt likely not due to the Cushings disease and she fears he has some form of cancer somewhere in his body. His blood work shows the Cushings meds are doing their job but doesnt show any other abnormalities. At this point we could put him through MRIs and other invasive tests to pinpoint the location of the cancer. But Dawn McAdams and I have decided even if we do that, we cannot in good conscious put ET through any chemo or similar treatment. He is in such a fragile state currently my vet advises he would not survive any such treatments. All we can do now is continue his Cushings meds and make him as comfortable as possible, feed him whatever his little heart desires and love, love, love him.
