I was in 3rd grade at Jefferson Elementary School. My teacher was Mrs. Gentile. I remember the secretary calling to our classroom on the speaker telling me to gather my things, my mom was there to get me. But why? I wasnt sick and I didnt have an appointment. I got my things together and walked down the hallway. Mom was in tears and Krystal was just as confused as I was. We got outside, still asking questions, when mom pushed us into the car and for in herself. Then she tried to explain that The World Trade Center in New York had been attacked. We were in the second and third grades we didnt understand. We didnt go back to school for days, and I still remember all the pictures on TV, the new reports, the carnage, the tears. Ill never forget, all the brave men and women, the families affected by this tragedy. Pray for them today.
