I was in a busy market in Tamale, Ghana filming OMs work with the Kayayei girls when I noticed a big crowd gathering around the field leader, Chris. I went to get a closer look to discover he had been taking the loads off the girls heads as they were walking by and then offering them a chance to go to school! Many families in Ghana are too poor to send their children to school, so they send them to work as porters instead, leaving them in often dangerous situations. OM offers some of the older ones a skills training course in hair dressing and sewing.
