I was in class as a freshman at college, totally oblivious to what was happening on this day in 2001. When class let out and I was walking to go to chapel, I still hadnt yet learned what had happened, but I remember sensing a strong, deep tension among the other students. I recall one girl moaning, Were going to be an all-girl school! (Im assuming she meant all the boys would be drafted). Once I settled into my seat in the auditorium for chapel, one of the schools higher-ups took his place behind the podium up front and told us what had just happened. I remember feeling shocked and scared simultaneously... Remembering all those heroes and victims on that pivotal day and praying for their loved ones. Where were you?
