I was just sending a message to my sales rep at the main distro I get most of my Record Store Day stuff from regarding a couple of RSD mis-ships, and had to include the following in the message, since last weeks contact was nothing but my complaining and freaking out that they werent sending me enough of the records: RSD was a huge success. My love/hate relationship with it is in love mode right now, now that the insanity is over and I have a few extra bucks. Thanks again for your patience with my flying off the handle, and for the solid fill. Im sure Ill be the same unhinged stress case come Black Friday. My customers, however, were beyond stoked, and most left the store with a smile on their face, and at the end of the day, thats what matters, for them, and for the success of my shop. I hope you guys know that all my sales reps at all the distros I use are real Record Store Day heroes: if it wasnt for them, you wouldnt have left Factory Records with all those fat stacks of wax yesterday.
