I was just talking to Tamari about this- a soldier in Israel recently died and his mother decided shortly after finding out that he was killed that she wanted to extract his sperm. This was very odd (as was the timing of the request), but the notion of reproducing for your son so you may have a grandchild is certainly a new one and one that I personally find troubling and odd.
