I was just thinking about when we were kids. Paul had to go through multiple surgeries, mostly for his knees, I think. Usually his surgeries were at St Vincents or St Josephs in Sioux City. Paul loved the fact that it wasnt long distance when he was in the hospital. We spent hours on the phone with him, reading our joke and riddle book and visiting. Later, we would bring Rosies pizza up to him and Im surprised we never got thrown out when we were visiting. There were wheelchair races and skid marks in the hallway. We helped him figure out how to pop a wheelie, and when the nurses werent looking, got him in the elevator to ride up and down and buy pop and candy in the cafeteria. The nurses were always asking, Where did those kids go?
