I was just watching the Nightly Nightmare with Brian Williams on NBC. It seems the breech at the White House was much larger than previously reported. Someone from the Secret Service (I didnt get a name) finally had the nads to admit that the Department of Homeland Security has actually lessened our security. The objective of creating the DHS was to coordinate intelligence between different federal agencies. The exact opposite has been the result. Competition breeds success. DHS has taken the morale and esprit de corps out of the many agencies who were deemed second tier and left them lying in the wake. The larger agencies or more politically connected have risen to the top while the rest sink lower than whale shit. The desired coordination has done nothing more than create a humongous monster that gets bogged down in its own mud, making action to be taken much more lumbering and stagnant than its ever been before.
