I was lost in a happy place. Your love is what I found. I trusted you with all my faith. Now look who’s crying on the ground. The trust I gave you, was all but a waste, cause with my armor and shield, my heart and soul will be braced. I won’t let my guard down again, not this time around. There’s no one for me to give my love to, so this time I won’t go down. I’ll stand tall and hold my place. I won’t be a fool again. I trusted too many people, now no one else can come in. I’m not mad or angry at those people I once adored. Just disappointed in what I found at their core. I knew they had some evil and dark inside but, I knew I couldn’t reveal it; their soul was trying hard to hide. But, once I gave them everything and they tore me apart, I wasn’t afraid of the consequences so, I went deep into the heart. I came out with emotion because that’s all I had to depend, for the heart had killed me, once and for all, the end. ~Hayley Ray
