I was lucky enough to get a second syndication today, this time on - TopicsExpress

I was lucky enough to get a second syndication today, this time on the front page of enemy territory at SB Nations Clips Nation...they even gave me a writer profile! Last weeks Kawhi Leonard piece was very well received, but I wanted to try something different this time. In light of the recent debate amongst the self-proclaimed Basketball PhDs (ex-players or some of the more traditional front office guys...without advanced degrees and often also bachelors degrees) with respect to the place in sports for analytics, I decided to publish my first mainstream statistical piece. It is always a fine balance between using interesting statistical approaches and writing something that people will actually enjoy. It was an added challenge (and risk) to analyze a team that I do not follow nearly as closely as I do the Spurs (or Warriors) for its diehard fans. I have no idea how it will be received, but I enjoyed writing it. For what it is worth, the sites editor--he goes by ClipperSteve--seemed really excited by it, and I cannot think of a scenario in which a guy who has Clipper in his name could be wrong here. The official SB Nation NBA account (with 40k+ followers) tweeted about my post earlier this morning, and I am featured in the Best of SB Nation NBA section, so I am hoping that is a good sign...and that Zach Lowe will keep his promise and finally email me feedback about my work. If you would like to check it out, here is a link to the article: clipsnation/2014/3/28/5556208/the-griffin-force Thank you all for the love and support! (And for understanding why we cant hang out on the weekends...)
