I was nominated by Marybeth Yanashot for the Ice Bucket Challenge. I nominate Mikey Benzino, Rich Cassano, Damien Tyler, and Joey Cassano. You have 24 hours to complete the challenge or donate $100. To skeptics about all of this: ALS is a disease, and just like other diseases money is needed for research to help find a cure. The reason why ice water is poured over your head is because it is supposed to simulate a sensation of losing your breath which is similar to what it is like to have the disease. It brings a little awareness and adds a little fun to raise money for the cause. At first, I felt a little like you do now, but after I did it, I was glad I did. If you dont do it in 24 hours, theyre asking for 100 dollars. However, If you do it, you can and should donate whatever you want. Some people I know only donated $20 dollars, but they helped in the awareness of a good cause. In 2013, only one million was raised. This year so far with the Ice Bucket Challenge at this point already, $15 million has been raised! Keep a good thing going and help beat this disease!! Youll be glad you did!!!
