I was nominated by Suzanne Gaetjens-Oleson to do the ALS Challenge. If you complete it within 24 hours, you make a $10 donation to the ALS Foundation. If you skip the ice bucket challenge, you make a $100 donation. I accept this challenge in memory of an ALS support group I was honored to help facilitate. They taught me how to find a silver lining in the midst of painful circumstances. Their muscles were weakened by ALS, but their spirits were strong. I challenge Sherry Sheggrud, Shilo Smith, and Paulette Shearer Purdy to participate. Since the ALS group was sponsored by the Muscular Dystrophy Association, I will make a donation to them, as well.
