I was not lucky enough to have a sister, I always wanted one, but - TopicsExpress

I was not lucky enough to have a sister, I always wanted one, but God gave me 2 brothers instead. So, I began to feel lucky being an only girl, not having to share my room, or my clothes, not having someone fighting with me all the time, and being Daddys only girl certainly had its perks. But today, I had to watch one of my best friends say goodbye to one of her sisters. It was so hard seeing her pain, feeling her tears, and knowing that she not only lost a sister, but one of her best friends as well. I used to love going to their house, sitting in the bedroom the 4 of them shared, watching them argue over the phone, a top, or a pair of shoes. I found it quite amusing. Once I told them how lucky they were to have sisters, and they all looked at me like I was crazy. Today I watched the 3 of them approach the altar in church as they passed their sisters casket. It was a most profound moment for me, and certainly not one I will ever forget. They will never be the same, they will move forward, but there will always be a part of them missing. For them, I grieve. Rest in Peace Karen, you will be missed. I love you Debbie Murray
