I was pleased to see the snippet on 7 Sharp tonight about Charities and where and how their funds are spent (or not) If you are not aware, you can go to charities.govt.org to search the register for info on any Registered Charity, their financial status and structure. North Auckland Animal Resuce Charitiable Trust is CC47906 if you care to have a look at us. In the year to March 2014 we made a loss of $357.98 with 40 dogs into homes in that 12 month period and another 8 in foster care as at 31 March 2014. Only 2% of our income was spent on expenses not directly related to DOGS.....being bank fees, legal fees, postage and web hosting.We dont pretend to be saving the world, but we are saving 40 -50 dogs per year and we almost always get it right - and if not we welcome the dogs back into our care.......it is never their fault if it doesnt work out!!
