I was preparing a sermon on Disciplined Spiritual living when I stumbled across an account on the life of John Wesley. John Wesley preached more than 40000 sermons in his lifetime. When he was 83 years old, he got angry with his doctor who did not let him preach more than 14 times a week. That is at least 2 sermons a day. When he was 86 years old, he said Laziness is slowly creeping into my life. There is an increasing tendency to stay in bed after 5:30 in the morning. At 32, I still sleep after the sun rises up. Some of these testimonial lifestyles are a hard slap in the face in deed.
