I was proud to lead the fight in the NYS Senate against Common Core by introducing state legislation that would stop its implementation. For years, my opponent has been ducking this issue, claiming it is a state issue. In yet another failure to represent those who send him to Washington, he has done nothing to address the concerns of Long Island families. He needs to start embracing this issue for the sake of our grade school students who are being treated like guinea pigs and not excelling under the experiment.
